    Integral Assurance services

    Risk and change assurance

Risk frameworks, governance and targeted change assurance that help leaders challenge assumptions and make better-informed decisions.

    Where Tim can help

A clearer view of exposure when the business is changing.

For leaders and programme sponsors who need a clearer view of risk, governance or assurance coverage before a key decision, during organisational change or when responsibilities are unclear.

Tim brings risk, controls and financial insight together to review how change is governed and where assurance is missing. Work is shaped around the decision, whether that is a programme milestone, a governance concern or an emerging exposure.

    Support shaped around the requirement

    • Risk frameworks, risk appetite and assurance mapping
    • Governance, accountability and Three Lines alignment
    • Project and programme reviews at key decision points
    • Project accounting and financial-control assurance

    Example deliverables

    • A prioritised view of risk, assurance gaps and unclear accountability.
    • Project or programme review findings tied to the next decision and available evidence.
    • An assurance map or practical action plan with responsibilities and proportionate next steps.

    Practical questions

Risk & change questions & answers

What does project or change assurance examine?

A targeted review can examine governance, accountability, risk management, reporting and financial controls around a programme or project. Scope it to the milestone or decision that matters. Findings reflect the evidence examined; they do not guarantee successful delivery.

How do risk appetite and assurance mapping support decisions?

Risk appetite clarifies the level and type of exposure leaders are prepared to accept. Assurance mapping shows who provides evidence over important risks and where coverage is missing or duplicated. Together they support challenge and prioritisation, rather than replacing management judgement.

What remains management’s responsibility during an assurance engagement?

Management and the board retain ownership of risks, controls, resources and decisions. Integral’s role and reporting responsibilities are agreed in the scope. Leaders decide how to respond to findings; an assurance review does not provide legal advice or board sign-off.
